It's fun to try to beat a friend! Snowball Blast and Downhill Blitz were my two favorite mini-games in Ski or Die. However you play, Downhill Blitz, Innertube Thrash, Acro Aerials, Snowball Blast, and the Snowboard Half-Pipe games can keep you busy for hours. You can play them individually or group them together in a tournament. Its an illustrated text adventure with a parser (of sorts), room illustrations (that take considerable time to draw), and a design that inspired legendary frustration in its day.Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for Ski or Die - NES - 1991 - CLEANED TESTED AUTHENTIC NINTENDO CARTRIDGE at the best online prices at eBay Free shipping for many productsOverall: 9/10-What's a young girl to do on a cold, snowy night in Wisconsin? However, I had to drop this rating a bit since there are only the five events to continue to play over and over. These events can keep you busy for awhile, especially if you play with a friend. Depth: 7/10-The five events are Downhill Blitz, Innertube Thrash, Acro Aerials, Snowball Blast, and the Snowboard Half-Pipe. You can play a tournament mode and try to win the tournament, but there isn't a story with it. Story: There really is no story since you are competing in those five different winter events.
The Snowball Blast can be challenging too since you are moving directions, trying to hit kids and creatures with snowballs very quickly. However, after you've played this game for awhile, you will have blisters on your thumbs especially if you're using a retro NES controller, and this makes game-play somewhat difficult :) The Acro Aerials game is probably the most difficult since you are getting scored on performing acrobatic moves in the air. The games are easy to get the hang of. Difficulty: 8/10-Some of the events aren't that difficult.
